Stella McCartney's baby fears

Stella McCartney was rushed to hospital over fears for her unborn baby.

The seven months pregnant fashion designer - the daughter of Beatles star Sir Paul McCartney - was admitted to Worcestershire Royal Hospital on Monday (18.09.06) suffering from shooting pains and bleeding.

The 34-year-old fell ill at her 2 million farmhouse, where she lives with her 18-month-old son, Miller, and her husband Alasdhair Willis, and rushed the 15 miles to the accident and emergency department.

She initially feared she would lose her unborn child, but after a series of tests doctors assured her the baby was OK.

Stella was kept her in overnight for observation and released on Tuesday (19.09.06) with strict orders to rest.

A source said told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "She has been read the riot act.
"Her condition was viewed as serious by doctors. Medics warned her she must now rest completely up until the birth. This means total bed rest."
Stella is now said to be determined to stay at her London mansion until the birth of her baby, so she can be close to her consultant.
The source added: "She wants to be close to her consultant - and will be taking no chances."
