These drinks and syrups are recommended for breastfeeding women as galactogogues. They all consist of food plants: herbs, seeds, fruits, vegetables, having bioactive properties



Carrot juice
 
Wash a carrot, grate, squeeze juice and drink half a glass 2-3 times per
day. You can add milk, cream, honey and fruit-berry juices in a carrot juice to
make it tastier. Additions should be small (1-2 table spoons for a glass of
juice), to avoid deterioration of carrot juice effect.
 
Carrot grated with milk
 
Put 3-4 table spoons of grated carrot in a glass, pour with milk or
cream and drink 1 glass 2-3 times per day. In the evening you can add 1-2 tea
spoons of honey in it - to relieve nervous tension and good night sleep.
 
Lettuce seeds drink
 
Lettuce seeds have the most marked galactic effect. To prepare a drink
take 20 g of seeds, crush them carefully in a china pounder and pour with 1
glass of boiling water. Leave for 2-3 hours and drink half a glass 2-3 times
per day. To improve taste you can add 1-2 tea spoons of honey for 1 glass of
boiling water.
 
Caraway drink
 
To prepare 1 liter of drink take 15 g of seeds, 100 g of sugar, 1
middle-sized lemon or 2 g of citric acid. Pour with water, boil on very weak
fire during 5-10 minutes, filter and drink half a glass 2-3 times per day.
 
Cream with caraway
 
Pour 2 glasses of cream in a ceramic pot, add 2 table spoons of caraway
seeds, cover with a lid and put in an oven of room temperature, drink for
breakfast and supper.
 
Caraway full sour
 
Cut rye bread in small pieces, dry, fry slightly, pour with water and
leave for 3-4 hours. Then filter, add yeast, sugar, caraway and put in a warm
place for fermentation for 10-12 hours.
For 1 kg of rye bread - 40 g of caraway, 500 g of sugar, 25 g of yeast
and 10 liters of water.
 
Dill seeds extract
 
Pour 1 table spoon of dill seeds with hot water (1 glass), leave for 2
hours. Drink half a glass twice a day. Sometimes 1 table spoon 6 times per day,
depending on acceptability. Drink with small gulps, keep in mouth for a while.
 
Anise extract
 
It is prepared of 2 tea spoons of seeds for 1 glass of boiling water.
Draw for 1 hour. Then cool and drink 2 table spoons 3-4 times per day 30
minutes before meal.
 
Anise, fennel and marjoram
drink
 
Mix 1 kg of pounded anise fruits, 1 kg of fennel and 1 kg of marjoram.
Pour 1 tea spoon of mixture with 1 glass of boiling water, leave for 2 hours.
Drink half a glass 2-3 times per day.
 
Radish juice with honey
 
Radish juice with honey, diluted (1:1) with cool boiled water and
slightly salted, is a good lactagogue for breastfeeding women. Take 100 g of
boiled water of room temperature for 100 g of radish juice, 1 table spoon of
honey and salt to your taste.
 
Dandelion greens juice
 
Mince dandelion greens, squeeze juice, salt to your taste, leave for
30-40 minutes and drink half a glass 1-2 times per day with small gulps. To
improve taste you can add lemon juice, salt, honey and sugar.
 
Dandelion flowers syrup “Fairy
tale”
 
Boil dandelion flowers (200 pieces) and pounded peeled lemon (1 piece)
in 1 liter of water during 10 minutes. Leave for10-12 hours, filter, add 800 g
of sugar and boil till readiness. Use to odorize tea, water and soft
drinks.
 
Syrup “Aroma”
 
Put 4
glasses of dandelion flowers in an enamel ware and pour with 2 glasses of
water. Add pounded peeled lemon and boil during 1 hour on weak fire. Then add
ready syrup, consisting of 0,5 liter of water and 800 g of sugar. Bring to the
boil and pour in bottles for storage. Use to odorize tea and other drinks.
 
Dandelions and orange peel syrup
 
Pour 3 glasses
of dandelion flowers and 1 glass of orange peel with 2 liters of 80% sucrose
syrup and boil on weak fire for 15 minutes. Then leave for 12 hours. Filter and
pour in bottles for storage. Use to odorize drinks.
 
These drinks and syrups are recommended for breastfeeding women as galactogogues.
They
all consist of food plants: herbs, seeds, fruits, vegetables, having bioactive properties.
These plants contain biologically active agents - glucosids,
hormone-like substances, having lactogenic effect.
