Authors
of report, published by British Fertility Society, offer doctors
refusing patients, suffering from extreme adiposity, in artificial
fertilization.

Experts offer baring women with body-weight index, which exceeds 36,
from artificial fertilization. Artificial fertilization is offered for
women, whose body-weight index is more than 29, only after Weight
Improvement Program.

Nowadays British National Health Service`s directions recommend doctors
warning overweight women or women with adiposity about heightened risk,
which pregnancy can represent for their health, but not refusing them
in treatment.

Overweight and adiposity while pregnancy increase risk of development
of so-called fetal diabetes and hypertension abruptly. Now a number of
British insurance companies refuse from including sterility treatment
into an insurance policy in case, if a patient suffers from adiposity.

According to a representative of the British Fertility Society, in
practice many National Health Service`s departments haven`t been
carrying out artificial fertilization to patients with overweight for a
long time already. “We speak only about more confident and persevering
methods of imposing these restrictions”, - he said. There`re also
recommendations saying not to refuse Lesbian couples and lonely women
in artificial fertilization in this report.
