received by American scientists during experiment, testify that too
frequent ultrasound investigations can be dangerous for a future baby
health. 

During experiment with pregnant lab mice researchers from University
of Yell managed to break the process of neurons movements in brain of
mice embryos with help of long influence of ultrasound waves.

This experiment was carried out on the 16th day of pregnancy, when
a process of mass transfer of nerve cells starts in mice embryos`
brain. Similar processes take place in human embyos` brain between 16th
and 18th weeks of pregnancy.
 
According to scientific data, a certain part of nerve cells
changed direction of migration under long ultrasound influence.
Regardless of the fact, that this damage caused no behavioral deviances
in newborn mice that could be fixed, scientists consider that
ultrasound influence while pregnancy cannot be considered absolutely
safe for fetus. 

Ultrasound investigation is a visual method, which allows doctors
and parents seeing detailed image of a fetus. Ultrasound investigation
remains irreplaceable, as a diagnostic tool of fetus`s diseases,
however, parents of a future baby should, probably, refrain from too
frequent usage of ultrasound investigation only for mere curiosity or
entertainment, scientists note.
