Communication before birth. How to prepare your baby in a tummy for easy painless delivery

In all traditional cultures it was considered that, when a child is born, he`s already 9 months old. Deep laying of baby`s features of character, his fundamental attitude to the world (”he loves the world - he doesn`t love the world”, “he can trust the world - the world is dangerous, and he cannot trust it”) take place during pregnancy and delivery in many respects.

already 9 months old. Deep laying of baby`s features of character, his fundamental
attitude to the world (”he loves the world - he doesn`t love the world”, “he can
trust the world - the world is dangerous, and he cannot trust it”) take place
during pregnancy and delivery in many respects.

In classic psychology, starting with Sigmund Freud, there was told a lot about
influence of birth emotional experience on a person`s state of pshychology. A
term of psychological birth trauma was formulated by Otto Rank. Stanislav Grof
developed this subject further. Our observations, formulated for 14 years of practical
work with pregnant women and new-born babies, persuade us that a loving and emotional
contact should be formed between a mommy and a baby during pregnancy, so that
a baby would be born ideally, easily and painlessly, not traumatizing himself
and mom. A possibility of “birth trauma” or ideal delivery of a baby and the development
of his positive features of character, such as: ability to bear troubles, without
resorting to alcohol or drugs and antisocial forms of behavior, ability to overcome
these troubles, i.e. the development of a strong, active character, - all this
almost completely depends on mother`s possibility to achieve the above-mentioned
loving and emotional contact between her and her baby. If a loving contact between
mother and baby wasn`t formed during pregnancy, there`re significantly less chances
for their emotional reunion after birth. In this situation, a woman doesn`t feel
love for her baby after delivery, gets tired of him, and wants to stay separately
from him in maternity house. In future, this state often turns into a long post-natal
depression.

A successful process of delivery depends on the development of loving contact
between mother and child during pregnancy, as delivery process uses “hormones
of love” (oxytocin, prostaglandins), if a contact wasn`t formed, a woman feels
only pain while delivery, and she doesn`t support a baby. If a mommy loves her
baby and supports him during delivery, a pain is reduced, “hormones of love” help
perineum to open and relax.

Here`re several methods that help to form a close contact between parents and
baby in a tummy, influence his physical and intellectual development:

“A gym in a tummy” - this is a figurative name of one of the methods. The main
loading

a baby receives while delivery, - is lack of oxygen. So, to teach a baby overcoming
oxygen hunger during delivery without traumas, pregnant women do specific breathing
and vocal-breathing trainings. Mommies study deep, wavy and vocal breathing. Pregnant
woman choses the rhythm and kind of her breathing exercises, proceeding from her
intuition and senses, so that it would be pleasant. Pregnant women called this
a “dance of breathing”. The second element of this practice - is a combination
of breathing with wavy body motions - “a dance of breathing” combines with body
dance. As a result of such exercises, a baby becomes prepared for a “marathon
of birth” and even if the process of delivery is complicated, he overcomes overloads
and is born without traumas.

Clearly vocal practice - is “buzzing” (a long singing of a sound). Sound vibrations
go inside of a body, perineum and hips through thoughts. Both this and previous
practice is executed not only in gym, but also while swimming in a pool.

Here`s another method of preparing a baby for delivery: after breathing and vocal
practices a pregnant woman comes into a special state of consciousness, deep relaxation,
quietness and inner silence. In such state, mommies direct their attention to
a baby through thoughts, and then a work with images takes place. The images she
would like to pass a baby, which she like herself, she directs to him. This way
she can form those cultural values and personal qualities that are close to herself.
At home a mommy can do this exercise taking a warm bath and listening to music
she likes. 20-30 minutes a day will be enough for such exercises.
